Greetings!
Escape from the world to do a shoot or spend hours editing has become increasingly a form of escape and therapy from the constant change in the world around me. Escaping has always been pleasant, but it is now closely connected to my remaining relatively sane.
I hope you have a distraction in your life. Maybe the Museletter can help you through Wednesdays, at least?
This issue has some new, some old, and what the radio tube industry calls, NOS. “New Old Stock”. New edits from shoots from yonder year. I did a few new ones of Marcela and more will come in the future. And, some from Griffin, although newer. As I’ve said before, many models have moved on with their lives. I was but a word, sentence, or hopefully a paragraph in their life story. In some I’ve been a chapter or two. Some have edited me out. Those are the ones who don’t respond to even birthday wishes. It was a hard lesson to learn. The stories continuously change in all of our lives. I’m sure there are people I’ve left behind, often not for any conscious reason. I understand the few that became upset or don’t respond any longer. I’d love to know why but do I have a right to know? Nope, I move on and make new friends or distract myself with my many activities. Knowing might be a needed lesson. I try very hard to treat everyone with dignity and respect. Maybe, just maybe, there were other personal motivations at play on their part that put me in their bad graces. That would explain why I didn’t get a reason for their departure from communication with me. I have to go with that lacking any input.
We visited Bonita for an overnight run a few days ago. It was nice to get out and about. It was funny that we got up and had breakfast, then loaded the truck while it was snowing. Two hours later we unloaded in Chandler and it was sunny and 70 degrees. I guess that makes us lazy snow birds.
I have shoots today and tomorrow. One with a couple of ladies I’ve worked with before. I hope to get some interesting nude art with those two. And then tomorrow I have someone new coming so we’ll see how that goes. Near the end of the month I’m shooting someone who is competing the following day. She is beautiful yet not someone you’d want to have mad at you! A picture of dedication!
We watched the latest episode of 1923, and there was a very well-done segment where the character from England came to New York. The process of being examined and determined if she would be allowed in was heartbreaking and SO relevant to today. We have always had less compassion as a nation than what we project. At least from my point of view.
back to editing and cleaning up the studio to be ready for the shoots!
So, enjoy your life—your way! Pay no attention to how anyone else thinks you should live it based on their opinions and prejudices. Their way is to validate their life choices and mistakes. WTF! You do you; let them stew!
