Greetings!

Good day to you on this fine winter day. Besides winter storms rolling in from the north and fires raging in California and worldwide, life is generally reasonable. We always seem to be sliding into a new normal. So, ‘normal’ is used to give a feeling of stability when it really is just the state of things for the moment. Well, that got deep in the first paragraph.

I had a few fun shoots last week. One gal I hadn’t shot in a decade, so we reconnected and created some new and very different art from our last/first shoot. A traveling model was in town, and most of the photographers she was scheduled to work with ended up sick, so we connected and, again, created some lovely art.

This week is fairly quiet, with the exception of a good friend/model who is coming out from LA to spend the weekend with Linda and me. I’m sure we’ll be enjoying a shoot as well as a road trip, probably to Bonita for the day and exploring some of Arizona's landscape for us to enjoy.

I’m excited that Playboy has enthusiastically accepted the article for publication. Griffin did a great job with that project as an author and model. I find her intriguing because I can usually predict what someone might say next. With Griffin, all bets are off. Of course, she has admitted she has no idea what she will say next, either.

I received more feedback from the last issue than any other in the past. I haven’t even had time to answer them all. And even a few donations to help finance the hosting and emailing of the Museletter. Thank you all SO much for subscribing and supporting the art here. I’m still loving it. And if you would like to donate, the blue button is below.

The video from last week’s issue received a number of special comments. Most said it reminded them of a past pet that they still missed and touched their hearts. Elley hasn’t watched it yet because she’s still grieving over the loss of that little guy. I’m so glad we decided to include him in some pictures.

The new email system seems to have worked well. It is much easier to prepare to send out, too. I’m pleased with it. I enjoy doing the Museletter, but making it easier to do is always welcome. I also feel the new look is cleaner and more welcoming. It is probably about time to do some spring cleaning of the website. I continue to add to it, and it starts getting cluttered.

I’m starting to plan another natural light class like the ones we’ve had over the last three years. It will very likely be with Elley once again and at the house in Mesa. The light in every room is fantastic. I may have details and a link to sign up for the next issue.

I have felt a disturbance in the force lately. Suddenly, Meta (FB, IG, and Threads) have joined with Twitter in allowing politicians to control how they are moderated. The only other popular so-so media site, TikTok, is being banned because those politicians can’t control the content. And the other two want it gone. Competition is bad for their pockets. That’s a huge red flag for me. My days on Meta are eventually coming to an end. As I’ve said before, the Museletter and Blie Sky, and open-source system, will remain as my voice in this world. My new normal.
