Greetings!

I just started composing this, only to find that my mind is blank at the moment. A mode it finds itself in more often these days. I’ll be back after food.

That’s better—nothing like bacon and eggs to kick-start a day. The eggs were contributed to the breakfast by the mini-raptor, whereas the bacon was sacrificed to me for the cause by the pig. Did you know the female pig has 90-minute orgasms? That makes me feel a little better about enjoying the bacon. When was the last time you received TMI about a breakfast?

Yesterday, I had a wonderful two-hour shoot with Kristy. We’ve shot many times before, and she does modeling for a living, so you can imagine how talented she’s become with her posing. I’m always impressed.

This week’s issue includes a mix of models, but all new edits. A number of them are new edits from a shoot I did eleven years ago in a vintage home. It was one of my first shoots on location and one of my first with Marcela. She and I went on to shoot several times a year before she retired.

A few days ago, I sold all of my older lighting systems—four lights, a bunch of modifiers, triggers, the works. I now have all new lights and modifiers, and it’s so nice to be organized again. The studio never looks sparkly, but it is more spacious and organized now, and that’s nice.

I hope to organize a group shoot, likely up at Bonita Creek, in the next few months. A day of shooting around our cabin and along the creek can be great fun. For those interested, stay tuned for details.

Speaking of Bonita Creek, it is already warming up down here in Chandler, so we plan to head up for the summer in about a month. We will be back to naps in the deck swing and hiking along the creek, where it is always 10 degrees cooler.

I hope to head to Huntington Beach sometime in the next few months to shoot. Everyone needs to connect with the ocean, if only to watch the waves and hear the surf for a few hours. It has always been a grounding experience for me.

So, enjoy your life—your way! Pay no attention to how anyone else thinks you should live it based on their opinions and prejudices. Their way is to validate their life choices and mistakes. WTF! You do you; let them stew!
