Greetings!
After about a week of suffering with a French cold, I’m much better now and very unlikely to die from it. Just a bit of a cough and some drama.
I did get a chance to shoot in the studio with Violet a few days ago. It could be that it’s just been months since my last artistic shoot, but I think we created some seriously cool art. I’m a little biased, but since art is subjective I don’t think that matters. You tell me. I have all of those creations, crafted so far, in this issue.
In a few weeks Elley and I will be doing some art in the studio. It is a good thing we’ve had a ton of practice coming up with new ideas because we have shot SO often over the years. She’ll be bringing her new hair color so there is that. It’s pretty freaking wonderful.
I’m excited that, once coming back to the states, the interest in prints of my art has really picked up. I’ve dusted off the printer, bowed to all of its demands for more ink and a maintainance cart and picked up a seriously nice stash of prime paper, and I’m ready to go. Printing started a few days ago.
So, as you are enjoying (I hope) some of my art, please consider picking something that moves you as something you might want to hang on your wall for inspiration. Art can change your mood and oil the cogs of your daily grind. Consider it. Prices start at $75 and go down from there.
Today I started helping with the ham radio part of the estate of a very good friend who passed away the same day I arrived in Ireland four weeks ago. We were friends for over 40 years and we enjoyed talking on the radio, building kits, and influencing each other in the various aspects of the hobby. I will miss him. He is my first close friend to close their circle of life. Nope, I am not looking forward to the next stage in my life cycle. I’m 72 on November 1st. It is funny how, no matter my age, it doesn’t seem old. Can. Road. Kick.
