This week in the life…
Happy Wednesday!!
And happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!! I hope you all have plenty to be thankful for. I certainly do, including you for subscribing and enjoying my art.
So, it’s been a fairly quiet week in the studio so I had a chance to do more editing from last week, including some beach images. I have to say, some of my shots with Elley on the beach are up there with my all time favorites. I never thought I’d ever get well lit and composed images from an environment like that. Of course I had a super model, and one who was excited to be shooting on the beach for the first time.
I also edited a few more of Nikole that I shot the Sunday I was over in California. Such a beauty.
And, after probably 6 or 7 years of knowing her, talking with her, and even lighting her up as people would rent my studio and shoot her, I finally worked with Nikee Lynn. She’s a long time model and she was determined to knock out some extreme body art poses. You’ll see them in the gallery in both color and B&W. I was just amazed at some of the positions she got into. And there are still plenty more to edit.
We are currently up at Bonita Creek for the next week so I can get some projects done. All geek related so I’m a happy camper. I am making a backup onto a NAS of all of my work from the last few years. After this trip everything will be duplicated and on fail safe drive systems. Right now, on my desk, is a total of 64 terabytes of drives!! That’s mind blowing since back in 1986 I sold a 300meg hard drive to someone and I couldn’t comprehend what they could possibly need with that much storage for. Now just one of my shoots is at least 100 times that size. But I’ll sleep better when I know I have two solid copies of everything.
And if you have been signed up for the Museletter for a while and haven’t been getting the emails, I think I found the problem. It involves using an account with some verification and validation installed, and I’ve done that. It’ll be interesting to see how many more people actually receive this and not have it blocked by some spam filter.
