Greetings!
What a wonderful week! After many months of not shooting with Elley, I had a day to create with her in the studio. That evening, we had a fantastic dinner with Javier and Jessica from @javrodphoto. I hadn’t seen them in ages, so it was great to catch up and talk about old times. They both shoot some beautiful work.
Then, the next day, we had an excellent breakfast and then shot until the afternoon. At that point, Elley and I headed to Todd and Griffin's home for a Laughing Moon shoot with four gamers in costume—all good friends. Griffin, Elley, Todd, and Sara not only posed like pros, but we finished the shoot and gamed for a few hours, and I had a total ball. You might remember that I watched them play a few months back. This time, I was an Elf of the Dazzler persuasion and played a drum. I also kicked some butt with my longbow. It was an incredible first gameplay for me.
One funny thing happened: Griffin answered the door in costume when the pizza guy showed up. It's the dream of many delivery guys. After a feeding frenzy of our motley band, a new character was introduced, and I put him to work carrying my drum as we went on our quest. His name is Domino. He could count up to 2. I felt like I knew him. (grin)
I’ll include some pictures of that event.
I have a big shoot coming up on Friday with Molly. It’s a birthday shoot for her, and she has about a dozen looks she wants to create. Whew!! I can see some nap time for me when she pops into the makeup room. Of course, with Dania here, it will be a fun and noisy time. I’ll love every second with these two incredibly impressive ladies.
Then, assuming my heart can take all of this activity, I’m going to Fan Fusion with my grandson Bryce and Elley on Saturday. And congratulations to Bryce, who just graduated from high school. Ahhh, to have a blank slate for a future. Been there, done that, my slate is pretty full. It's messy but full. He also has a wonderful grandpa to give him advice. There is a chance that some of it may even be useful.
Oh, I almost forgot. I’m writing this yesterday…Tuesday. And in a few hours, I head to Barry’s horse ranch in Skull Valley to shoot with Griffin and Todd all afternoon! Oh my, this is going to be fun.
Sometimes I feel like I’m cheating at something. 71-year-old men are not supposed to have this much fun or have this many beautiful and ambulatory friends.
Take some time to sit and enjoy art. It’s good for your soul.
I support an organization called Model Society. So many wonderful artists to inspire me. Check out their magazine!
