Greetings!
Welcome to June with a long warm summer at our doorstep. Unless you are on the other pole of this spinning marble, then you are heading into winter. Good luck to us all because we keep breaking records. And not the good kind.
Since we are at the Bonita home in the middle of the month, there are no new shoots going on. Several are scheduled for mid-month, and then we come up here to weather the summer months. I have my camera and lighting gear with me up here, and I expect we’ll have some beautiful visitors throughout the summer to make some guest room natural light and forest location art. That’s always fun!
One of the shoots I’m looking forward to mid-month is Griffin, Todd, and I redoing some looks we did in 2019. That includes some body scapes and very sensual art. A few from 2019 ended up in a popular French calendar in 2022 and 2023.
This week's gallery includes a few new images from Elley and Griffin, as well as hand-picked favorites from the archive. The summer is usually filled with me editing from past shoots while the mid-day sun is heating it up outside. Mornings and evenings are times to enjoy the deck, walks, and getting a few chores accomplished.
Switching to geek mode - warning Will Robinson!
For several years, I’ve been looking for a solution to connect my network here at Bonita Creek to the COX network I have in Chandler. I’ve tried special routers, tested a bunch of things, and walked away from many of the attempts simply because I didn’t understand them enough to be comfortable using them. Like many other things in life, I just assumed I was trying to overthink the problem when anyone who knows me would tell you I’m certainly not qualified to overthink anything. I have network needs up here that involve opening network ports, and the T-Mobile network and many others up here all have the limitation of not being able to handle port forwarding.
A few nights ago, I was talking with a nice young man on the radio who was in Tennessee and was in I.T., specifically networking. I told him my problem, and he gave me the name of a company and told me that their product would solve the problem, and it was even free.
So, by noon the next day, I had a computer at each home connected to both networks. Today, a few days later, all of my computers are now members of my tunneled network. Happy geek dance time!! I now have some nice possibilities.
Today, a fancy four-antenna package is arriving that should take my T-Moblie signal strength from OK to ROCK SOLID. And that should relate to a higher speed on my internet
Take some time to sit and enjoy art. It’s good for your soul.
I support an organization called Model Society. So many wonderful artists to inspire me. Check out their magazine!
