Greetings!

It has been an interesting week. We spent most of it in Chandler because we may have been needed to help family with health issues. Thankfully, the operation was a total success and we all went out to breakfast instead. That’s how life is supposed to be.

We came up to Bonita Creek yesterday morning. It has been raining and hailing up here, and we missed it. Dang it! I love it when weather happens up here. It is so rare in Chandler.

But, it is cooler and we are again sleeping with the doors and windows open at night. Coyotes howling once in a while and the sound of Elk hooves in the yard usually wake me when I’m sleeping in the deck swing. Sounds of nature always brings a smile, even if it woke me.

I did a lot of editing this week. The act of creating is so rewarding. To pick an image with an idea in my mind and then apply some skills and see what happens. About half the time the image ends up as I imagined it. The other half, it turns out much better and often very different from what I imagined. Both are wonderful outcomes in my book.

We did some serious binge watching while we were in Chandler. We watched all three Back to the Future movies as well as the Apple TV series Lessons in Chemistry. We enjoyed all of them as expected. The Lessons series is nice in that there are only enough episodes for one season and the story travels from beginning to end perfectly.

In a month we head to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to spend a week in our little 20’ trailer. I’m very much looking forward to that. It’s SO peaceful there. And this year I’m not in serious back pain so the hiking should be far more pleasant. Then, a few weeks after we get back, I head to Ireland for a week of shooting and hanging out with a bunch of cool photographers, many destined to be friends by trip’s end I imagine. After that week my adult son is joining me and we are spending two weeks exploring London and then Blarney and surrounding areas. That will be a blast!!

I’ve made it to a point in my like where I rarely complain about something I might have to do. Instead, I look at everything as something I GET to do.

Stay cool and enjoy life. Spend it like you only have the one.
