Greetings!
We are prepping our trailer for our glamping trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Last year, it was so much fun, just like it was decades ago when we brought our kids.
When we get back, I will start to prepare for my trip to England and Ireland. That will be a trip of a lifetime, and at least I’ll have a week’s worth of shooting with models while I’m there. Even more fun will be meeting fellow artists/photographers and seeing all of the fantastic landscapes and shooting opportunities. Whew!!
I have a fully portable editing system that consists of a 13” M2 Macbook Air with a 16” visual editing pad. It is all tricked out with all of the editing tools I need, and it works very well. And it is compact. So, that will be going to the rim with us and my Ireland/England trip in September. So, in the evenings over there, I’ll have a couple of weeks to edit pictures from the week with models. Assuming my son isn’t pulling me out on hikes and strolls through the countryside. I’m good with either. I can edit anytime. I can’t enjoy the green countryside anytime.
I get a little depressing from here, so you can stop reading if you’d like. I want you to have a grand day!
I had only one shoot last month. That’s not a good trend, but it feels like it might be the way of the future. If it is, I’ll miss the planning, figuring out the best angles, and experimenting with lights. That lovely studio is just sitting there with no activity. It’s sad. But nothing is forever except change.
I still have 20+ terabytes of images to dip from to continue the editing part of the art. That will remain an exciting and rewarding part of my life.
I’ve made it a point not to talk politics here or on so-so media. I’m worried about the talk of banning pornography by some politicians if they win. Anyone who talks like that would easily consider my work porn, and I’d have no choice but remove everything and retire my art to the dark corners of my storage drive. Then again, black market sales of my work could be lucrative. Especially to those who publically banned it. ;). Life can be strangely predictable.
Stay cool and enjoy life. Spend it like you only have the one.
